Don passed away quietly in hospital following a lengthy bout with chronic illness.

He is survived by his wife, Merle, sons Marsh (Nicole) and Sean (Nishika) and grandchildren, Cameron and Malaya. He was predeceased by his brother, Doug, but is survived by his sister-in-law, Marilyn and family. His extended family also included Fraser and Shary Rea of Sidney, B.C.

Don spent his career in marketing media and his early years were with Southam in Medicine Hat, Calgary and Toronto. He later moved to television in Edmonton and was present for the inaugural broadcasts of both CITV and Superchannel. Don was an avid golfer and a long time member at the Derrick.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Millwoods Shepherd’s Care for their kindness and compassion in recent months.

Following Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal Service. Please make memorial donations to a charity of your choice.
