Bill Kuziw

Obituary

KUZIW, William Dan

On Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, as the sun was setting William Kuziw passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 84 years. William is survived by his wife Sylvia; three children, Todd (Linda Mah), Rosalind (Bill) Lupul, and Geoffrey; three grandchildren, Alexander, Luke, and Michael; sister Helen Poloway; and brother Ted Kuziw. In light of the escalating health crisis, travel restrictions and government guidelines, the family has had to accept that we are currently unable to give William the send-off that he deserves. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.

Bill Kuziw worked most of his career at CBC Edmonton as a Studio Technician, became a Film Sound Recordist and then a ENG Editor before retiring.  He worked camera on the Montreal Olympics in 1978 among other large shows for the CBC.  Bill was married to Sylvia Kuziw who worked as a Production  Assistant, then was Supervisor of Script Assistants, and finally was Manager of TV Resources before retirement. Earlier in Sylvia and Bill’s careers at CBC Edmonton they both travelled the country working on the Stomping Tom Television show.

After retirement Bill and Sylvia travelled the world and stepped foot in every continent including Antarctica. They both joined the CBC PNA and at get-togethers in Edmonton they would regale us with the stories about their adventures during their travels.  Our condolences to Sylvia. (Bob Forrow)
