ANDERSON, James William
August 5, 1930 – September 17, 2013

On September 17, 2013, Jim Anderson passed away peacefully in the presence of family.

He was the only child of William and Mary Anderson and stepbrother to Elsie Demers. Jim was predeceased by his wife Ollie in 2012. They were married 58 years and he missed her dearly after her passing.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Bill (Judi), Robert, Brad (Beverly); grandchildren, Joel, Nancy (Terry), Kelly (Darren), Julie, Kristine, Lindsay; great- granddaughter, Jasper; and daughter-in- law, Beverly.

Jim had a long career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He was instrumental in starting up the CBC Television Edmonton facilities in the early 1960s.

A memorial service will be held at Strathcona Presbyterian Church, 8116 – 105 Street, Edmonton, on Tuesday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Strathcona Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 8116 – 105 Street, Edmonton, T6E 5E7.
