Marlyn Anholt

Marlyn was a Receptionist at CBC Edmonton during the 1970s, and the wife of retired broadcaster Ken Anholt.

Obituary

ANHOLT, Marlyn

On December 13, 2016 at 12:50 a.m. our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother passed away with family at her side after a hard fought battle with Parkinson disease. Her last 2 years were especially hard and as was typical of her grace and fortitude she never once complained or allowed herself to be consumed by self pity.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving and devoted husband of 61 years Ken; her daughter Loree (David) and her son David as well as 5 grandchildren Sarah (Aaron), Matthew (Nina), Michael, Scott and Steven (Cass); 4 great-grandchildren, Charlie, Henry, Soren and Hannah; her sister Shirle (Jack); brother Wally (Faye), as well many many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Rosalyn and Gottlieb Klatt, her brothers Carl (Ella), Albert (Clara), Bill (Ruby), Martin (Bertha), Wilfred (Irene), Bob (Jean) and sisters Ella (Art), Elsa (Colin) and Emma (Bill).

For those who wish, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkinson Alberta Society at 11209 86 St N.W. T5B 3H7 Edmonton. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Hope Lutheran Church 5106 106 Ave. Edmonton on January 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. Luncheon and fellowship to follow.
