Richard Clavier

March 17, 1952 – May 8, 2004 After an arduous struggle with cancer, Richard passed away at the age of 52 years. He will forever be lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda; son, Doug and stepson Ryan. He also leaves to mourn his parents George and Pauline along with brothers Brian and Adrian of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; brothers Kevin of Edmonton and Glen of Montreal, and sister Reva of Vancouver. Richard graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Prince Albert and proceeded onto NAIT in Radio and Television Arts. He used the skills he learned there to become an announcer at CJWW in Melfort, Saskatchewan and then CFRN/CJCA in Edmonton. He then fulfilled his dream on becoming a lawyer by graduating, with honours, from the University of Alberta and joining the prestigious law firm of Prowse and Chowne in Edmonton. He continued there until his illness forced him to retire. For all who knew him, Richard was an honest, selfless, perfectionist who profoundly loved the outdoors. In the words of his son, “He was the greatest man I’ve ever known”.
