Dick was the one who brought me to CBC Alberta and have had many good discussions working with him. My sympathy goes out to his wife and family and may they celebrate knowing he is and was loved and admired for his kindness and generosity.

I first worked for Dick in Winnipeg in 1958 after he graduated, and then in Edmonton as Chief Engineer after a stint in Montreal Engineering HQ.
Why do all the good ones have to leave us.

Dick taught me so much and I was blessed to have shared great opportunities with him.
