Don joined CFRN radio and televison as a Technician in 1959, working with Ted Wadson and Frank Makepeace. In 1967, he moved to Oregon where he worked as a Technician for a hospital.

Don died in Oregon on July 17, 2006, at age 75.  He is survived by his widow, Chris, six children and two grandchildren.
