Roy Rush

RUSH, WILLIAM ROY

1941 – 2015

Roy Rush of Creston B.C. passed away at the age of 74 on August 6th, 2015.

Roy Rush, son of Leonard and Beryl Rush, is survived by former spouse Lenore Balazs, son Derek and his wife Sandra, and two grandchildren Mitchell and Hudson, and son Dean, all of Calgary.

Roy achieved success as a Cameraman for the CBC in Edmonton and Calgary, and was most proud of his role in filming the 1976 Olympics.

Roy later moved back to Stavely to work in the community and assist with the family farm. Later he chose the warmth of the British Columbia interior to live and enjoy his friendships with the Dahlmans and long time buddy Dave Cook.

A small gravesite memorial was held August 24th at the Stavely Cemetery where he is buried beside his parents, brother James and daughter Natalie.

Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Roy’s life in their own way, raising a glass of their favorite drink in
his memory would be quite appropriate.
