Dale Sande

SANDE, Dale Richard 1941 – 2007

It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Sande must announce his passing. He passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2007 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 66 years with his son by his side. Dale was born in Coronation, Alberta on September 3, 1941 and lived most of his life in Edmonton and Calgary. He worked in radio and television broad-casting for many years and later had a successful career in sales, most recently with Artistic Impressions of Calgary. One of Dale’s greatest joys in life was playing golf, organizing an annual golf tournament for many friends and family. After over 40 years of playing the game, he finally got his first hole-in-one last year. For many years, Dale volunteered with the Mac’s Midget Hockey Tournament, helping with media relations. He will be remembered as a kind and loving father and grandfather, brother, and friend. Dale will be deeply missed by all of us. He is survived by his brother Edwin (Bertha); sister Mildred; brother-in-law Terry; sister-in-law Betty; sons Warren (Marilou) and Kelly (Tricia); grandchildren, Heather, Lori, Emma, Jordan, Carter, and Kyra; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE) on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated ( www.heartandstroke.ca ). Messages of condolence may be for-warded to the family at www.piersons.ca . Arrangements entrusted to PIERSON’S FUNERAL SERVICE, Calgary. Telephone (403) 235-3602.
